HWPD is the brand used by Hua Wei Product Development Industrial Limited, a product-development and manufacturing company established in 2009. From our Hong Kong headquarters and manufacturing facilities in Shenzhen, we support customers that need engineering, prototype tooling, production injection molds, plastic injection molding and OEM/ODM manufacturing within one connected project workflow.
Our role is not limited to supplying one process. We work with customers at different project stages—from an early product concept or existing CAD model to prototype validation, production tooling, molded-part production and assembled products. The objective is to keep the product definition, DFM decisions, mold requirements, inspection criteria and production feedback connected as the project moves toward manufacturing.
HWPD's manufacturing work is centered on plastic products and the engineering and tooling required to move them into repeatable production. Rather than describing the company only as a “prototype supplier” or “mold supplier,” the clearer picture is a connected manufacturing organization with several related capabilities.
Industrial design, mechanical engineering, DFM, materials, assembly interfaces and manufacturing-readiness reviews for products that still require development before tooling.
Product Development →Rapid prototypes and injection-molded prototypes used to answer appearance, fit, function, material and manufacturing questions before production investment.
Rapid Prototyping →Prototype, bridge and production tooling selected according to product maturity, remaining engineering risk and the intended production route.
Tooling Routes →Medium and large structural injection molds for projects where tool size, mold rigidity, cooling, movement, machining and trial capability become important.
Large Injection Molds →Mold trials and plastic-part production after tooling validation, with dimensional inspection and process control based on the approved product requirements.
Injection Molding →Finished-product manufacturing programs that may include molded parts, secondary processing, assembly, inspection, packaging and delivery coordination.
OEM / ODM Manufacturing →Room 04, 7 Floor, Development Tower, 33 Mongkok Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong.
102, Building 3, Juyin Science and Technology Industrial Park, Jihua Street, Longgang District, Shenzhen, Guangdong, China.
Kunda Industry Park, No. 9, Baolong 1st Road, Longgang District, Shenzhen, China.
These locations are also documented on the Manufacturing Facilities page, where customers can review the manufacturing and inspection resources used for prototype tooling, production molds and injection molding.

The relationship between these capabilities is important. Product development is not presented as a separate design activity, and mold making is not treated as the final objective when the customer still needs molded parts or finished products. Each capability supports the next manufacturing decision.
| Capability | Role in the Project | Why It Matters |
|---|---|---|
| Engineering / DFM | Reviews geometry, material, assembly, tolerances and manufacturing risks. | Reduces the chance of transferring unresolved product issues into tooling. |
| Prototype Tooling | Produces real injection-molded parts where molded behavior still needs validation. | Provides production-relevant evidence before final tooling decisions. |
| Production Mold Manufacturing | Builds tooling around stable product data, production cooling, ejection, wear and maintenance requirements. | Connects approved product data to repeat manufacturing. |
| Injection Molding | Validates the mold and manufactures approved plastic parts. | Allows mold and molding feedback to remain within the same manufacturing network. |
| Inspection | Uses dimensional and project-specific checks to compare actual results with approved requirements. | Provides evidence for corrections and production release. |
| Assembly / OEM Production | Connects molded components with secondary processing and finished-product requirements. | Ensures individual part decisions remain compatible with the final product. |
Technical risks, open assumptions and required validation should be identified before major tooling or production commitments are made.
Customer drawings, CAD data, specifications and project information should be handled under agreed confidentiality, access and revision-control requirements.
Project support can continue after the first mold trial through corrections, production runs, maintenance, engineering changes and further manufacturing needs.
For the principles behind these working methods, see the HWPD Company Philosophy and Intellectual Property Protection pages.
A customer should be able to understand HWPD as one company entity with clearly documented locations and connected engineering, mold manufacturing, injection molding and OEM/ODM capabilities—not as a collection of unrelated keyword-driven services.
